Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending December 10. Lysine sales weakened as feed millers were not eager to stock inventories while usages were slow after the government lowered protein requirements in feeds.

Poultry feed producers remained prudent, limiting the purchases of methionine while sales were below expectations. Price quotes of imported dl-methionine fell to the range of RMB20.80-22/kg, lower by RMB1-1.20/kg.
