UK wheat, rapeseed crop declines

In 2013, Britain collected only 11.9 million tonnes of wheat, the smallest crop in more than a decade and down 10% from the prior season, the country's farm ministry said.

The ministry cut its estimate from the 12.1 million tonnes it had anticipated in October.

Meanwhile, rapeseed production was also estimated to have fallen 17% this year to 2.13 million tonnes, the ministry added.
