Methionine prices stabilise in China; market stays weak
Prices of methionine stabilised during the week ending February 12.
Despite the recent price slash of methionine, sales increased modestly. Feed producers were reluctant to stockpile high inventories in anticipation of a weak post-festive market.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained in the range of RMB20.20-20.80/kg.
Methionine market will be quiet in the coming couple of weeks as China celebrates Chinese New Year.
