China Methionine Weekly: Light trade holds prices flat (week ended Mar 21, 2017)
Demand for methionine stayed weak as feed producers limited production although the poultry sector has shown signs of recovering. In Europe, prices of methionine for Q2 2017 deliveries stayed stable in the range of EUR2.45-2.50/kg.

Supplies of hog increased, lifting pork carcass volumes by 1% to 7,601 tonnes, which was still substantially below pre-Chinese New Year levels due to slack pork demand. Prices dropped 1.4% to RMB22.24/kg as a result.
