Russia to continue grain interventions in 2013

The Russian Federation's Ministry of Agriculture intends to continue the public commodity grain interventions in 2013 with weekly sales of no more than 130,000 tonnes.

The press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture declared this on December 28.

According to the announcement, the volumes and terms of the public commodity interventions will depend on the situation on the grain market. The first auction in 2013 is planned for January 15 and 16 as part of the grain interventions.
