China Methionine: Prices fall amid slack sales (week ended Dec 26, 2022)

Diminished poultry inventories, together with the severe covid-a9 epidemic situation in China, curtailed the sales of methionine.

Transacted price of locally produced dl-methionine in China were stable decreased to the range of RMB17.80-20.40/kg, whereas those of imported products were at RMB21/kg.

Methionine hydroxy analogue prices were softer in the range of RMB13.60-16.20/kg.

Export prices of dl-methionine dropped to US$2.55/kg.

Methionine prices are set to remain soft with demand sluggish.
