Another case of bird flu detected in South Korea

South Korea has confirmed another case of avian influenza at a chicken farm in Yesan county, 134 km south of Seoul, The Korea Herald reported.
About 114,703 chickens are being raised at the farm.
The latest case in a series of infections at local poultry farms in recent weeks brings the total caseload of this season at local poultry farms to 55. The first case of bird flu was reported in October.
According to South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, authorities are enforcing access restrictions, culling chickens, and conducting an epidemiological investigation on the farm as part of their quarantine efforts.
To stop the disease from spreading throughout the nation, the government has strengthened quarantine and sanitation measures.
