Ukraine's wheat exports to hit four million tonnes

Ukraine's export of wheat harvested this year will reach four million tonnes before the end of December and is likely to amount to 5.5 million tonnes in the whole 2005/06 marketing year, according to a report published by the market analyst APK-Inform Wednesday.

Ukraine exported 4.375 million tonnes of wheat in the 2004/05 marketing year.

APK-Inform said that, according to the figures released by the state customs committee, Ukraine's wheat export in July-November was 3.42 million tonnes, and another 500,000 tonnes had been exported to date since Dec 1.
