BioMar Norway veteran recognised for long service
The Royal Norwegian Society for Development has recently recognised the contribution of BioMar Norway veteran Terje Sæther - who has worked for the company in R&D and marketing positions for more than 30 years - by awarding him a long service medal.
Sæther, who will be retiring soon, started as marketing manager in 1988 and was an important player in building a company dedicated to aquaculture feeds.
In 1992, he spearheaded Bio-Optimal, the first in a range of revolutionary growth-feeds, prior to developing BioMar's first range of preventive health-feeds called SMARTfeed. Sæther was also part of the creation of BioSustain, the aquaculture industry's first feed sustainability programme and, more recently, BioMar's Pigment Performance Technology.
The Royal Norwegian Society for Development was encouraged to reward long and faithful service in working life. The first to receive the Medal of Long and Faithful Service - of which Sæther is a recipient of - were employees in the agriculture field.
