Subdued demand holds China lysine prices soft

Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending December 25.

Demand for lysine slowed as most buyers have stockpiled inventories for the New Year holidays. Hence, even as Ajinomoto lifted prices quotes of lysine by 5-10% globally, prices were soft in China domestic market.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine remained at RMB4.90-5.20/kg.
