Zambeef appoints new head of marketing
Zambeef Products Plc has appointed Felix Lupindula as its head of marketing and corporate affairs.
The new role expands Lupindula's previous position as the company's head of corporate affairs and public relations by incorporating the additional marketing function.
"The streamlining of the departments will help Zambeef to better leverage the functions of our departments' activities and help carry our brands forward. With the experience and dedication Lupindula has shown over the years, we believe he is the right man for the task and look forward to seeing Zambeef brands flourish under his direction," said Francis Grogan, the CEO of Zambeef.
The appointment is in line with the group's approach of continuing focus on its market-driven strategy of production, processing, distribution and retailing of cold chain food products including beef, chicken, pork, milk, dairy products and eggs.
"Zambeef is a market-driven food company that aims to understand its customers and provide high quality, affordable local products that meet their needs. I look forward to working with the team to develop those markets further," said Lupindula.
He possesses 25 years of experiences in agribusiness and commercial management involving agronomy, technical services and marketing, and has worked as an agronomist and technical manager with various world plant sciences company franchises such as Bayer AG, Novartis (now Syngenta), and AgrEvo.
Lupindula was previously agronomist in charge of plant protection over Zambeef's 24,000 hectares of annual wheat, soybean and corn crops as well as the Zampalm plantation before becoming special assistant to the CEO and later, head of corporate affairs.
Lupindula was a founding director of the Lukanga Water and Sewerage Seven Centres Project in Kabwe where he served as board member for six years before he was later appointed as director and vice chairperson of Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Board where he currently sits on the audit committee.
He has a Bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and holds a post university qualification from Technikon Pretoria, South Africa.
Lupindula recently graduated with a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Herriot Watt University in the UK.
