China Live Hog Weekly: Chinese New Year preparation boosts demand (week ended Dec 21, 2018)
Prices were mixed. Pork carcass volumes of major distribution centres rose substantially by 5% to 9,228 tonnes, amid expanding cured pork production. However, prices of pork carcass rose a marginal 0.47% to RMB19.12/kg as buyers were reluctant to increase prices.
