Cargill CEO elected as chair of board of directors

Cargill president and chief executive officer Brian Sikes has been elected as chair of the organisation's board of directors, effective January 1, 2024.

Sikes succeeded Dave MacLennan, who will retire as executive chair of the board at the end of 2023.

Sikes began his career with Cargill in 1991 and was named president and CEO in January 2023. He is the tenth CEO in the organisation's 158-year history and is known for his relentless focus on people and culture, as well as customer-driven transformation and growth.

"I step into this role from a position of strength thanks to Dave's outstanding service and visionary leadership as executive chair of the board and former president and CEO.
