China lysine prices drop with no supporting factor in sight

Lysine prices slid during the week ending December 24.

Demand for lysine was sluggish amid a confluence of factors, including lower protein requirements for feeds, weak soymeal prices and dismal sales of hog feed.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine consolidated lower at RMB5.40-5.50/kg.

Lysine prices are poised to remain soft.
