Fire at Cal-Maine Foods in Florida, US, kills about 250,000 chickens

A massive fire at a Cal-Maine Foods chicken farm in Dade City, Florida, the United States, killed as many as 250,000 chickens after flames tore through three barns with thousands of chickens inside.

Three out of the eight large chicken coops holding about 60,000 to 80,000 chickens caught fire and was deemed a total loss.

Local fire rescue crew was able to keep the fire from spreading to the other five structures at the farm.
