Ukraine pork prices fall in local markets

The All-Ukrainian Association of Importers of Meat and Meat Products said pork prices in Ukrainian markets and stores have dropped significantly, even through prices traditionally surge on the eve of the New Year holidays, UNIAN reported.

The association said this could be because of higher relevant imports this year, as well as declining demand from the restaurant and hotel industry.

Many restaurants, cafes and hotels did not survive the first round of COVID-19 related lockdowns in Ukraine, while others have remained closed pending another lockdown.
