Thai Union assures priority on employee safety following fresh COVID-19 cases in Thai province
Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 infections in Samut Sakhon, Thailand, Thai Union Public Company Limited has recently informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that its top priority is ensuring the ongoing health, safety and well-being of all its employees, partners, suppliers, customers and local communities.
The company said it continues to follow all measures required by the Thai government and local authorities. As of December 21, the company has just one confirmed case among the employees in Samut Sakhon.
The company added that it will continue following all employee testing requirements.
Currently, all factories under Thai Union and its affiliates remain open as the company is carefully preventing any temporary shutdown of production lines.
However, should the worst-case scenario happen involving the total shutdown of all of Thai Union's Samut Sakhon plants for two weeks, this would have an impact of less than 2% of total revenue, and the company has backup capacity to partially offset losses.
