FrieslandCampina's business group president to leave cooperative

Hans Meeuwis, who headed FrieslandCampina's Dairy Essentials business group as president, will leave the dairy cooperative to take on the role of CEO of Royal Cosun.

Meeuwis joined FrieslandCampina in 2014 as managing director of the cooperative's cheese, butter and milk powder business, and later assumed the role of president of the Dairy Essentials business group in January 2018. He successfully established the business group, transformed it and brought focus and expertise to one of FrieslandCampina's strategic pillars, "Elevate our Essentials."

Meeuwis has been instrumental in resetting and delivering on the cooperative's strategy for cheese, optimising its cost base and building a future-proof organisation, said Royal FrieslandCampina CEO Hein Schumacher.

He will continue in his role until end of February 2021, leading many changes within the cooperative.
