Press release

Kjell Bjordal will step down on 15 February 2013 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Cermaq's feed division - EWOS. Deputy COO, Dr Einar Wathne, will be appointed acting COO from on the same date.

"We have known for some time that Kjell Bjordal intended to step down when he turns 60 years in 2013, and I fully understand his wish to make this change in February when the 2012 results are finalised", says CEO Jon Hindar. A recruitment process for a new COO will now be initiated.

"The revenue has increased more than ten-fold and the operating result has developed even stronger during the more than 13 years that Kjell Bjordal had led what is now Cermaq's feed division. EWOS has become the global leader in the salmon feed marked. This is an achievement that deserves the highest respect, and I will thank Kjell for his significant contribution to Cermaq", underlines Hindar.

Dr Wathne has had various leadership positions in EWOS since 1993 and has played a key role in the successful development of EWOS. Norway-based Cermaq is an international fish farming and fish feed group with head office in Oslo, Norway. The group has a diversified presence in the major salmon farming regions worldwide.
