Aquatic Eco Systems chooses new president
Aquatic Eco-Systems announced the appointment of Todd Childress as its new president.
Childress replaces Bob Heideman, the founder of Aquatic Eco-Systems and the company's only president since its inception in 1978. Heideman is stepping down to and takes on a role of advisor to the company and its board of directors.
Childress served both as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the company over the past two years and a half. He has over 20 years of global business experience. Prior to joining Aquatic Eco-Systems, he held various financial, operational and business development roles for a number of diverse private and publicly held companies, including Geltech, Inc.
Aquatic Eco-Systems is a privately held company and is a large provider of products and services for the aquaculture industry.
The company has a number of operating divisions, including Aquatic Habitats, a leader in the development of research-grade housing for aquatic species, Waterlife Design Group, a provider of aquatic system design and engineering services specialising in life support systems for zoos, public aquariums and aquaculture facilities, and the Lake Experts, a group dedicated to commercial and private lake and pond management.
