Fire causes US$1 million damages and loss of 200,000 chickens at Delaware, US egg farm

Authorities in Delaware, United States, have launched an investigation into a fire that erupted at an egg farm in Middletown, resulting in approximately US$1 million in damages and the loss of around 200,000 chickens, NBC Philadelphia reported.
First responders arrived to find the two-story egg-producing facility engulfed in flames and thick smoke emanating from the structure.
The severity of the situation prompted a response from multiple fire companies, escalating the incident to a two-alarm fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the emergency response.
