Pfizer announces a 32-cent first quarter, 2008 dividend

Pfizer's board of directors declared a 32-cent first quarter 2008 dividend on the company's common stock.

It will be payable on March 4, 2008 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 8, 2008.

Pfizer increased the dividend by approximately 10 percent from US$0.29 cents to US$0.32 cents per share as part of the company's efforts to enhance shareholder return.

The first-quarter 2008 cash dividend will be the 277th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by Pfizer, and 2008 marks the 41st consecutive year of annual dividend increases for Pfizer shareholders.
