China Trace Minerals: Prices of copper, zinc products strengthen (week ended Dec 14, 2020)

Trace minerals markets remained firm amid limited output and high production expenses. Prices of copper sulphate, zinc sulphate and zinc oxide strengthened over the week in review.

Copper sulphate export prices rose to US$2.20/kg. Transact prices were in the range of RMB14.20-14.50/kg in China.

For zinc sulphate, export prices strengthened to US$0.95/kg.

Meanwhile, zinc oxide local transact prices increased to the range of RMB16.50-17.75/kg.

While export prices remained at US$0.56/kg, manganese sulphate was transacted in the range of RMB3.70-3.75/kg in China.

Expanding hog feed production, coupled with limited output, will underpin the prices of trace minerals.
