Methionine prices consolidates lower in China despite stable demand
Prices of methionine were stable to lower during the week ending December 11.
Feed producers remained prudent, limiting stockpiles even as poultry markets showed significant signs of recovering. However, most methionine producers held price firm as profit margins were low.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained in the range of RMB22.50-23/kg.
Sales of methionine should stay stable as the poultry markets recover.
