Serbia's wheat acreage increases by 16% to 544,541 hectares
Areas sown to wheat was increased by Serbian farmers this planting season by 16% to 544,541 hectares (1.35 million acres), bringing the total area 2.3% above the 10-year average.
According to the Belgrade-based Statistics Office, farmers also increased areas under oats by 15% to 72,276 hectares and 28% sown to barley to 11,232 hectares.
