Ukraine grain stocks register significant declines

 

 

As of December 1, grain stocks in Ukraine amounted to 20.9 million tonnes, down 13% from last year's figures.

 

The stocks included 9.4 million tonnes of wheat, 4.7 million tonnes of corn, 4.6 million tonnes of barley and 800,000 tonnes of rye.

 

About 10.5 million tonnes of grain were stored in agrarian enterprises, down 21% on-year. That included 4.2 million tonnes of wheat, 2.5 million tonnes of barley, 2.1 million tonnes of corn and 300,000 tonnes of rye.

 

Storage and processing enterprises held 10.4 million tonnes of grains, down 3% on-year.

 

As of December 1, sunflower seed stocks totalled 4.7 million tonnes, with agrarian enterprises (except for small-scale) holding 1.8 million tonnes while storage enterprises held 2.9 million tonnes.
