Louis Dreyfus to build US$130-million biodiesel plant in Argentina 

 

 

Louis Dreyfus Group will construct a US$130 million (88.9 million euros) biodiesel plant near Bahia Blanca port on Argentina's Atlantic Ocean coast.

 

The port's administration said the plant will include building of a plant for grain processing and production of oils and biodiesel.

 

The plant storage installations are planned for the next year and instalment of the production equipment will remain for the second stage of the project.

 

Louis Dreyfus focuses on grain commerce and processing in Argentina. It runs the oilseed mill in General Lagos, Santa Fe province.

 

Louis Dreyfus local subsidiary SACEIF Louis Dreyfus is among Argentina's main soy exporters.
