Aviagen TMEA team celebrates launch of first Francophone School in Tunisia
The Aviagen® Türkiye, Middle East and Africa (TMEA) team celebrated the launch of the first Francophone School in Tunis, Tunisia on November 11-15.
Poultry professionals from five countries, including Tunisia, Mauritius, Algeria, Madagascar and Côte d’Ivoire were welcomed to Aviagen’s French-speaking school.
Throughout the training, attendees explored best practices in breeder, broiler and hatchery management, focusing on how to develop prioritised strategies for increased biological output at the optimum unit cost.
According to Aviagen, the Francophone School gave participants the opportunity to connect with fellow poultry experts and knowledgeable Aviagen tutors, who presented on key topics including grading, broiler management, data handling, presentation skills, egg handling, and hatchery key performance indicators (KPIs).
At the beginning of the week, participants were assigned groups to work collaboratively on a case study, and were tasked with presenting their findings to a panel of Aviagen experts at the end of the week.
Following the team presentations, a formal graduation ceremony was held to honor all attendees, each of whom received a certificate for their dedication, hard work, and successfully completing the course.
In addition, the team recognised for exceptional performance was specifically acknowledged with a certificate and a token of appreciation, commemorating their contributions throughout the week.
The recipient of the Hannibal Barca award was Adnene Haffar, a production manager at SOTAVI in Tunisia. This award is named after Hannibal, a general and statesman who commanded the forces of Carthage in Tunisia, during their conflict with the Roman Empire.
