The TCP announced the tender for Russian and Central Asian origin milling wheat on November 29. The selection of Cargill to supply the 40,000 tonnes of Russian wheat completes a plan announced by the TCP in July to import one million tons of wheat.
The grain agency bought 927,282 tons in two previous tenders issued in August. That included 150,000 tons of Russian wheat at an average price of $198.30 per ton C&F Karachi.
