Cherkizovo's products win seven quality guarantee medals

 

 

Cherkizovo Group's products have been awarded six gold medals and one silver medal at the Quality Guarantee 2020 international competition, the company announced on December 9.

 

During the competition, a tasting panel selected the best offerings in 26 food categories, including "Best Poultry Product" and "Best Meat Product." Based on the jury's votes, 15 of Cherkizovo's products received many awards and accolades.

 

Two Cherkizovo products picked up gold medals, including its pork shoulder steak with natural spices and Fuet Extra sausage. The Petelinka brand also received gold medals for its small fillet and its barbecue chicken sausages Specials. Tambov Turkey, a joint venture between Cherkizovo Group and Grupo Fuertes (Spain), also saw success with their Pava-Pava brand receiving two gold medals for its thin turkey thigh steak and tender turkey mince.

 

A silver medal was awarded to the Petelinka brand for its chicken balls. Quality excellence certificates were received by Po-Cherkizovsky ham, Cherkizovo bacon and sausages with smoked bacon, as well as Salami Astoria sausage and Cherkizovo-branded Domashniye cutlets.

 

More certificates were awarded to Petelinka's breast fillet cubes and chopped chicken schnitzel, as well as Pava-Pava's breast mince.

 

This year, the competition's organisational committee registered applications from 145 food companies representing 50 Russian regions, as well as Kazakhstan, with the total number of food product submissions reaching 769.

 

The Quality Guarantee competition is held by Gorbatov's All-Russian Meat Research Institute, one of Russia's leading food research organisations, and sponsored by the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly.

 

The competition's primary objective is to raise general awareness about Russia's food industry achievements, identify the best manufacturers and products, provide an unbiased assessment of product quality and safety, and contribute to a better consumption culture.

 

The competition's supervisory board consists of professionals from the leading industry-specific research centers and experts from a variety of national associations.
