Ukraine's grain share in commodity exports shows decrease
The share of grain products in Ukraine's commodity exports decreased from 9% to 4.9% compared to 2009, according to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
During January-October of 2010, commodity exports from Ukraine totalled US$41 billion, imports - US$47.85 billion, which formed the growth of export indices by 29.9%, and imports - up 33.5% compared to the same period of 2009.
Ukraine provided foreign trading contracts with partners from 215 countries of the world. The highest volumes of export supplies were provided to the Russian Federation.
During the January-October period of 2010, credit balance deficit totalled US$6.85 billion, compared to US$4.28 billion in the 2009 period. During these 10 months, the current ratio of import to export totalled 0.86, compared to 0.88 in 2009.
