Meat price hikes in Hunan and Xian
Hunan province's poultry and poultry product prices increased by 2.1 percent month-on-month in November.
According to the Hunan Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics on December 12, prices for pork, beef, mutton and poultry rose by 4.1 percent, 1.2 percent, 3.2 percent and 0.3 percent respectively.
Xi'an also reported price increases for pork and beef by 0.7 percent and 0.6 percent respectively. Pork rose by 76.2 percent while beef increased by 46.2 percent on-year, according to Xi'an Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics.
Egg prices in Xi'an fell slightly by 0.1 percent on-year.
Meanwhile, overall grain prices were up by 8.3 percent on-year.
