A contract was recently signed by Aviagen and Jadeed Farms for the supply of Ross GP into the latter's operation in Pakistan.
Jadeed Farms main office is located Rawalpindi and the company has four hatcheries in different cities across the country. These hatcheries have the capability of producing 20 million hatching eggs.
The first shipment of Ross GPs is scheduled for March next year with plans in place to consistently develop the business in line with market requirements.
Jan Muhammad Javaid, the Chief Executive of Jadeed Farms commented, "In my opinion Ross is the best bird in the global poultry market with good performance at grandparent, parent and broiler levels. We are encouraged by the feed conversion we have seen, especially in a market where bird weights are in the 2.0-2.5-kilogramme range."
"We are delighted to have Jadeed Farms as a new grandparent customer in Pakistan. They are a well-known and respected business and we look forward to working together and growing with them in the future," stated Orapan Chansawat, Vice President Aviagen Asia.
Aviagen is the world's leading poultry breeding company, developing pedigree lines for the production of broiler chickens under the Ross, Arbor Acres and Indian River brand names.
