Ukraine's October grain imports fall 37%

 

 

In October 2010, Ukrainian grain imports dropped by 37% or 2,690 tonnes to 4,580 tonnes, compared with October 2009, for US$2.45 million.

 

Grain imports went up by 74.8% or 1,960 tonnes in October, compared with September 2010.

 

In January-October 2010, compared with January-October 2009, grain imports increased by 7.5% or 6,170 tonnes and made up 88,610 tonnes for US$120.96 million.

 

Earlier in September, grain imports fell by 63.2% or 4,500 tonnes, compared with September 2009, to 2,620 tonnes for US$1.53 million.

 

In 2009, grain imports fell by 16.6% or 19,080 tonnes to 96,080 tonnes for US$98.53 million, compared with 2008.
