Beijing Huadu Yukou opens US$1.9 million poultry feed mill

Beijing Huadu Yukou Poultry Co Ltd has kicked off operation of its new feed mill for layer feed production in Pinggu, east Beijing.

The US$ 1.9 million feedmill is a turn-key project by Zhengchang with capacity of 180,000 tonnes a year. The new feed mill will mainly supply starter feed for layers in the first six weeks of growth. Yukou Poultry has an existing feed mill that produces 60,000 tonnes per year. Yukou Poultry announced it would sell 60 million commercial chicks in 2005, making it one of the largest layer breeders in Asia.
