China's wholesale beef prices rise

China's wholesale beef price increased by 0.9 percent week-on-week from November 26 to December 2.

The Market Operation Department of the Ministry of Commerce on December 5 reported that fresh beef prices in monitored cities like Haikou, Xi'an and Xining increased by 8.3 percent, 3.9 percent and 1.6 percent respectively.

Prices in Chongqing Municipality, Shijiazhuang City and Beijing Municipality dropped by 4.4 percent, 2.4 percent and 0.2 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, China's wholesale fresh mutton price increased by 1 percent week-on-week with prices in Haikou and Ningbo cities increasing relatively more.
