Ukraine Milk Production Down; Egg Production Up in Jan-Nov 2003

In January-November 2003 Ukrainian farmers produced 12.904 million tons of milk; this figure is 3.4% less compared to the same period in 2002.

Organised agricultural businesses produced 2.538 million tons of milk, whereas private peasant households - 10.365 million tons.

The farmers produced 10.762 million eggs over the past 11 months, which is 1.6% more than in same period 2002.
