4th Duxes Dairy China Summit returns next Apr
The 4th Duxes Dairy China Summit will be held April 13-15, 2016 at Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town.
The consumption of infant formula milk powder in China is the highest around the world. Nearly 50% of whole milk powder's global import volume is occupied by China. The growth of healthcare awareness has enabled dairy products to play an increasingly important role in the Chinese diet.
At the beginning of September this year, the food safety law was modified. The Exposure Draft of Registration Management Measures (Trial) of Infant Formula Milk Powder was officially opened to the public. One month later, the State Food and Drug Administration issued an opinions manuscript, which said that the number of formula products from a company cannot be more than five. This means that the nearly 2,000 milk powder brands in China's market will be decreased to 400 and the development of dairy companies will face more difficulties.
In the face of depressing development trends and fierce fighting over dairy product prices, and following the October announcement of the two-child policy in China, share prices of global dairy companies in China like MeadJohnson, Danone, Nestle, and Synutra International, rose quickly. According to expert analysis, the policy will increase market value by at least US$2.18 billion for the China dairy industry.
Against this backdrop, Duxes has decided to hold the 4th Duxes Dairy China Summit next year in Beijing.
The organising committee will invite leading international dairy product manufacturers, ingredients and additives suppliers, packaging and equipment providers, as well as large-scale retailers and dealers from the whole dairy industry chain.
Over 100 speakers from local governments, authoritative associations, and leading internationl dairy companies are invited to present at the event. Key topics will include farm management and fresh milk safety controls, the ingredient and nutrition science of functional dairy products, emerging market strategy analysis in China and customer preference research. Two special topics focusing on infant milk powder and liquid milk will be arranged.
Having hosted five successful events for the dairy industry throughout Asia and in China, the Duxes Dairy Series has been recongnised as the most important annual event in the dairy industry.
