Belgium's Roxell appoints new product manager for pig sector

Roxell has appointed Ludo Bosschaerts as the new product manager for its pig sector, effective December 1.

Ludo began his career as an agricultural engineer at an international breeding organisation known for its fertile breeding pigs combined with good conformation. He worked for several years in its R&D department.

After having spent ten years in the United Kingdom, he joined one of the major players in the feedstuffs market in Belgium, South Netherlands and Northern France.

There he was advisor for feeding strategies on pig farms and responsible for the development and daily management of a manure sales structure for customers. In addition, he provided support to commercial staff responsible for the calculation of manure balances. He also gave follow-up training on all manure-related issues.

In his new role, Ludo will be responsible for the further development of Roxell's existing pig segment through innovation and optimisation of their existing line of feeding systems.

Frank Hartmann, Marketing Manager Roxell, explained the ambition of the global player in drinking and feeding systems for pig farms, "In most parts of the world, the pig-breeding sector has been in crisis for quite some time. The difficult market situation is compelling businesses to boost their efficiency. There is a need for upscaling, hiring of external personnel, and increasingly higher demands are being placed on business management and the finished product. It is therefore essential for farm managers to become true managers. In this context, a high level of automation is increasingly becoming a requirement. That's why we want to respond even better to customers' needs by developing efficient and sustainable solutions. "
