Vietnam lost over 230,000 pigs due to ASF in 2021 so far

Over 230,000 pigs have been culled this year due to African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks in Vietnam — nearly three times higher than the number of pigs in the same period in 2020 and accounting for about 0.8% of the total herd.

Outbreaks of ASF have been reported in 2,275 communes of 57 provinces in the country.
