China Broiler Weekly: Markets stay firm amid lower releases (week ended Nov 14, 2017)

Market analysis


AA broiler


Supplies of AA boiler were stable over the week. Slaughterhouses made purchases to increase stocks, but at a cautious pace as the sales of chicken product were slow. On average, AA broiler price rose 2.4% during the week in review.


Chick prices consolidated after the recent weeks’ plunge, rising RMB0.10-0.20/kg to RMB1.30-1.70/kg.


China breed broiler


China breed broiler market rebounded more strongly amid tightened availability. Prices increased 3% on average, lifting chick prices in tandem.

 


Market forecast


Broiler markets are projected to remain firm amid lower releases in the coming week. However ,cautious mood of slaughterhouses will limit the upward scope of the prices.
