India halts export of poultry products to some countries
India has stopped exporting poultry products to some countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
"Some countries like Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia have imposed a ban on the import of poultry products from India, due to bird flu," Minister of State for Commerce & Industry D. Purandeswari wrote in a written reply.
"The export of poultry products to these countries have stopped," the minister said.
