Poland optimistic on re-entry to Russian meat market
The ban on the export of Polish meat to Russia could be lifted before the Christmas holidays as Agriculture Minister Marek Sawicki sets to visit Moscow next week.
The Polish minister's visit is expected to hammer out details of the agreement as Kremlin also wants to meet as soon as possible, according to Krzysztof Jażdżewski, deputy chief veterinary surgeon.
The Russian agriculture minister Aleksiej Gordiejew was supposed to meet Marek Sawicki during the Gruene Woche fairs in Berlin in January.
It has been revealed that representatives of the Russian government want to show their gratitude to the government of Donald Tusk for the recent kind gestures towards Moscow.
