China shrimp exports to Japan and EU surge by 41 percent 

 

 

China's frozen shrimp exports to Japan and EU were 16,000 tonnes and 9,318 tonnes respectively in the first three quarters of 2007, surging by 41.3 percent on-year.

 

Hangzhou Dinghao Science and Technology reported that the exports of frozen shrimps to both markets accounted for 68.8 percent of the total frozen shrimp exports.

 

Mainland China exported 5,132 tonnes of frozen shrimps to Taiwan, a decline of 23.1 percent year-on-year, with exports to North Korea and US at 2,782 tonnes and 1,745 tonnes respectively, decreasing by 14.1 percent and 60.1 percent year-on-year.
