Iranian Shrimp Exports Projected to Increase
Iran's shrimp export revenues would amount to 26 million euros before the termination of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2005), according to Arsalan Qasemi, the managing director of Iran's Aquaculture Cooperatives Union on Saturday.
95 percent of the shrimp production is exported each year, and the country's revenues from exporting shrimps with an output of 5,000 tons were 20 million euros in the previous year.
The figure with the shrimp production of 7,000 tons has been increased to 25-26 million euros in the current year.
