India's Anmol to construct two feed mills in 2013

Indian feed miller Anmol Group will build two feed mills at Northern and Eastern Indian cities in 2013.

Sudip Khan, Anmol's Vice President, said one of the new plants will be located near the northern city of Chandigarh. It will have a capacity of 4,500 tonnes/month and produce feeds for farmers in Punjab, Haryana and Jammu Kashmir. The other plant will be located in Guwahati, capital of the eastern state of Assam. Its feed sales in the easternmost region are growing rapidly.

"Livestock farmers in Assam and other eastern states hold small-scale, backyard farms located in hilly areas. They require certain type of feeds and we are the only feed miller that makes this for them," Khan said. Anmol was founded by Managing Director Amit Saraogi in 2000. The group currently operates eight feed mills across India and produces an average of 22,000 tonnes of feeds a month.
