Singapore lifts ban on Argentinean beef
Singaporeans could soon enjoy Argentinean beef as the Singapore Food and Veterinary Authority lifted the ban on the same on Nov 28.
The move follows WHO's decision to declare Argentina as a region free of foot-and-mouth disease.
The ban was imposed in February this year following an outcry over FMD outbreak. Nonetheless, imports of Argentinean beef into Singapore prior to the suspension were minor.
