China requires imported cold-chain food products to undergo nucleic acid test
China's State Administration for Market Regulation said no imported cold-chain food products will be permitted for sale in the country without a report to show the product has undergone a nucleic acid test for COVID-19 coronavirus traces, Reuters reported.
China has reported several cases of coronavirus traces detected on imported food products and their packaging, such as pork from Germany and shrimp from Ecuador.
Foreign officials said China's strict inspections for COVID-19 coronavirus traces damages trade and harms the reputation of imported food.
