Nigeria plans to cease fish imports
Nigeria may ban the import of fish products.
The country is now experiencing financial losses on fish importation, said the Agriculture Minister,AkinwumiAdeshina.
The government aims to increase the supply of raw materials for agro industries, offer employment and save foreign exchange through import substitution, boost consumption of local products and increase national food security.
The ban is expected to be imposed next year.
