31% of Egyptian Wheat Imports from the US

Egyptian wheat imports between July and October totalled 3,384,900 metric tons (MT), with the US supplying 31% or 1,059,500 MT of the total.

The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) was the dominant buyer, importing 995,000 MT from the United States and 2,462,500 MT from other countries.

Private companies imported 64,500 MT from the United States and 922,400 MT from other countries.
